The Impact of Unrestricted Giving

The most effective way to support our mission is through an unrestricted gift, allowing us to respond to current needs and direct resources where they will have the greatest impact. For every dollar donated, 88 cents goes directly toward serving our clients.

IMO and IHO Donations

The Cheshire Community Food Pantry is honored to receive In Memory Of (IMO) and In Honor Of (IHO) donations recognizing loved ones, friends, and special occasions. To ensure that these gifts are properly acknowledged, including thanking the donor and offering appropriate support to the honoree or bereaved family, we ask that all IMO and IHO donations be made by check or money order and sent directly to the Pantry. At this time, our online giving platforms do not reliably allow us to collect the information needed to provide the level of acknowledgment these gifts deserve.

How to Make an IMO or IHO Donation

Be sure to include:

  • The full name of the person being remembered or honored.
  • Contact information for the individual or family who should be notified of the donation made in memory of their loved one.
  • Or the contact information for the person, family, or organization you would like us to notify of your honorary gift.
